G W Lamb Removals was started by Mr G. W. Lamb. He was a blacksmith who as well as completing house moves, also transported bodies to the cemetery. The following generation diversified into furniture retail and all went well until the Second World War.
During the Second World War, the vehicles that Mr Lamb had were commandeered for the war effort in and around the area. Mr Lamb was able to start up again after the war and re-established a firm who have transported everything from ponies to school meals and have even delivered to Buckingham Palace.
In more recent years, Lambs Removals and Storage have expanded into the surrounding areas and beyond. They have experience of moves abroad, reaching as far as Australia and more remote corners of the world. We also have experience assisting companies with moving offices within a building and whole business relocations.
